Central Dauphin offensive lineman Artie Rowell has narrowed his list of Division-1 suitors to just two, according to his profile on Rivals.com.
The two lucky schools are Pitt and Northwestern. Rowell also had an offer from Temple and interest from Duke and Rutgers, according to Rivals.
Rowell is a 6’2, 296-pound senior-to-be, and he played both offensive and defensive line last year for the Rams. Defensively, he totaled 42 tackles (13 solo), two sacks and two fumble recoveries. Offensively, Rowell was a guard on a line that blocked for a very productive CD offense.
Rowell helped to pave the way for a Rams team that finished 9-3 overall and an offense that amassed over 4,000 yards of total offense (336.8 yds./gm) and nearly 34 points per contest. Rowell helped block for a 1,300-yard passer and for a rushing attack that averaged 218 yards per game and saw two backs score 10+ touchdowns.
Central Dauphin reached the District 3 “AAAA” quarterfinals, falling to eventual D3 champion and PIAA “AAAA” state semifinalist Cumberland Valley, 24-21.
