Highlights of 2024: Central York finished undefeated in Division 1 of the York/Adams league for the 6th year in a row. The Panthers defeated CD East High School in the first round of the playoffs and then lost a nail biter to Wilson High School in Round #2. Top performers for Central were OLB/Athlete-Tyler Frey, LB-Micah Bowers, DE- Malachi Ramnath, WR/CB-Saxton Suchanic, C-Matthew McKinley, WR/Returner-Brendyn Smith, QB-Brooklyn Nace and 1st Team All-State Kicker-Matthew Parker.
Looking ahead to 2025: Central York returns six starters on both sides of the ball in 2025. Offensively 3-Year Starting QB Brooklyn Nace returns as well as 1st Team All-State Receiver Brendyn Smith. Starting Jr-RB Legend Johnson returns to carry the football. The O-Line will be anchored by the return of Caden Solomon, Kaden Graham and 3 year Starter at TE Colin Gurley.
On Defense Edge/LB-Jeremiha Hunter, DE-Colin Gurley along with NT-Quintin Dolly all return to anchor the Front 7. LB-Josh Bahr and DB’s-Dwayne Morgan and Hristos Panopoulos all return.
Kickers, Brandon Ponce and Brady Burt will battle it out to replace 4-Year starter, Matthew Parker
Many new comers have waited their turn to get on the field in Varsity competition this fall.
