Central York defensive lineman Kyle Baublitz’ big play now has earned him a large number of Division-1 college offers – 15, to be exact, according to Rivals.com.
Baublitz, a 6’6, 255-pound athlete for the Panthers, is coming off of a phenomenal junior season. He totaled 166 tackles (53 solo), 1.5 sacks, and a fumble recovery. As a sophomore, Baublitz registered 123 tackles, four sacks, and two blocked field goals.
Baublitz recorded double-digit tackles in each of Central York’s 12 games last season. He had a season-high 20 tackles against Red Lion, 18 tackles against Dover, and 16-tackle games against West York and Governor Mifflin.
Rivals lists the following schools that have offered the Panther athlete: Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Florida State, Illinois, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Northwestern, Penn State, Pitt, Rutgers, South Carolina, Stanford, Syracuse, UCLA, and West Virginia.
Central York had a successful 2008 season, reaching the District 3 “AAAA” quarterfinals before falling to Governor Mifflin, 35-6.
