District 11 Notes (Week 4):

RUNNINGBACKS: 

Freshman Fletcher Thompson of Williams Valley rushed for 206 yards and 3 td’s in their win over Minersville. Thompson has rushed for 504 yards and scored 5 td’s this season. Junior Niko Carestia of Schuylkill Haven rushed for over 200 yards for the second week in a row when he racked up 260 yards and scored 5 td’s in their win over Mahanoy Area. Carestia leads the District with his 706 yards rushing. Samuel Spolski of Nativity hit the 2,000 yard career rushing mark in week 4 (2,001).

QUARTERBACKS:

Dante Carr of Minersville went over 3,000 yards passing for his career in week 4 (3,020). Carr’s td total this season reached 20 as he has scored 9 td’s while tossing 11 td passes. Shane Leh of Northwestern threw his 30th career td pass in week 4. Both Ben Kreitzer of Nativity and Luke Kane of Tamaqua threw their 25th career td pass last week. Matt Bodnar of Notre Dame leads the District with his 1,498 yards passing and 15 td passes this season. Chase Walker of Freedom had his third 200 plus yard passing game when he threw for 221 yards and 3 td’s in their win over Nazareth. Rocco Delgiudice of PM East joins the chart as he has thrown for 1,008 yards in his career. Caden Mengel of North Schuylkill and Cayden Vassa of Bethlehem Catholic both went over 2,000 yards passing for their careers. Mengel has thrown for 2,198 yards and 18 td passes while Vassa has thrown for 2,102 yards and 24 td passes. Andrew Allen of Pottsville threw for 303 yards and 4 td’s in their win over Bangor. Jayce Lawrence of Lehighton threw for 253 yards and 4 td’s in their win over Palmerton.

RECEIVERS:

Jack Robertson of Saucon Valley broke his second school record in week 4 when he caught his 90th career pass. Tyler Csencsits held the old record with his 89 career receptions that he caught from 2018-21. Xzavier Pusateri of ES South leads the District with 24 receptions this season. Ethan Dudsak of Stroudsburg is one behind with his 23 receptions. Jordan Bradshaw of Catasauqua joins the chart with his 518 career receiving yards and Luke Miller of North Schuylkill also went over 500 receiving yards in week 4 (507 yards). Joe Roth of Lehighton caught 4 passes for 131 yards and 3 td’s in their win over Bangor. Roth’s 3 td’s is one short of the school record of 4 that both Chris Green and Anthony Farole scored. Green had his 4 against Central Catholic in 1991 and Farole had 4 vs PM West in 2010.
