District 11 Talk Week 5

Panther Valley

Panther Valley had a 28-0 lead and went on to beat Schuylkill Haven 34-13.

Panther Valley rushed for 270 yards on 38 carries and four touchdowns.

Kyle McAvoy rushed for 146 yards on 18 carries and one touchdown. Quarterback Casey Lawrence rushed for 82 yards on 9 carries and two touchdowns. He had touchdown runs of 55 and 5.

Lawrence also completed 4 of 7 passes for 67 yards and one touchdown.

Panther Valley (4-1) travels to Marian Catholic.

Allentown Central Catholic

Quarterback Brendan Nosovitch led the Vikings to a convincing win over Nazareth Area 38-21 to remain unbeaten in the Lehigh Valley Conference.

Nosovitch rushed for 106 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 14 of 20 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns.

The Vikings had 251 yards rushing and 197 yards passing for 448 yards of total offense.

Connor Faust rushed for 105 yards on 10 carries and Kevin Gulyas had six catches for 109 yards including a 25-yard touchdown reception.

Allentown Central Catholic (5-0) hosts Whitehall.

East Stroudsburg North

East Stroudsburg North used their triple-option attack as the Timberwolves went on for their third straight win over Pocono Mountain West 45-20.

The Timberwolves rushed for 344 yards. Denzal Bunn-McKenzie rushed for 78 yards and one touchdown. Kahaleel Storey rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns. Omar Richardson rushed for 76 yards and one touchdown.

The Timberwolves averaged 7.5 yards per carry on 46 attempts.

East Stroudsburg North (3-2) hosts Pocono Mountain East.

Southern Lehigh

Quarterback Corey Sroka passed for 139 yards and three touchdowns to lead Southern Lehigh over Pen Argyl 49-7.

Wide receiver Jeff Smillie caught nine passes for 102 yards and two touchdowns.

Southern Lehigh had 30 first downs and 539 total yards of offense. On defense they held Pen Argyl to eight first downs and 178 total yards of offense.

Southern Lehigh (4-1) hosts Notre Dame.
