The list of potential suitors for Dunmore OL Paul Gaughan keeps on growing – and presently, Dunmore’s senior-to-be has seen his list of Division-1 offers swell to over a dozen.
According to Scout.com, Gaughan is up to 13 Division-1 offers – Akron, Boston College, Buffalo, Florida International, Illinois, Indiana, Kent State, Maryland, Northwestern, Stanford, Syracuse, Temple and Wisconsin.
Michigan, Notre Dame, Penn State and Pitt have all shown interest, but not offered a scholarship to the 6’6, 280-pound Gaughan.
Gaughan helped pave the way for a Buck offense that featured 1,800-yard rusher Michael Perry and quarterback Dave Olivetti, who amassed more than 1,000 yards of total offense. Perry finished his career with more than 6,000 rushing yards and will continue playing football at Bryant College.
Dunmore averaged 31.4 points and 311 yards of offense per game last season – nearly 251 of those yards came on the ground.
The Bucks finished the 2009 season with a 12-1 overall record, winning the school’s fifth District 2 “AA” championship in the process. In the last three years, Dunmore has posted an overall record of 37-5 (.880).
