2023 Offensive Outlook: The Cavaliers return 8 offensive starters from the 2022 season. To be able to contend in the tough Eastern Pennsylvania Conference, the Cavaliers will turn to sophomore Ivan Laubach to lead the offense that returns RB Nate Gray and WRs Nekhi Spencer, Xzavier Pusateri, Bryce Moskovitz, Charles Capers, Mikey Johnson, and Matty Mercado. The Cavaliers return Perez, Hough, Kunsman, Kiesling, and Cherif up front. To be successful, the offense must be able to control the tempo and convert on key 3rd and 4th downs to keep other offenses off of the field.
2023 Defensive Outlook: The Cavaliers return 9 defensive starters from the 2022 season. The Cavalier defense, which will be coordinated by Coach Zach Cole, brings back Spencer, Mercado, Pusateri, Gray, and Capers in the secondary. Johnson and Blount return at the LB positions and Hough and Fernandez return up front. To be successful, the defense will look to use their secondary as their strength as all 5 return as well as focusing on stopping the run with their front 6.
2023 Special Teams Outlook: To be successful in the Special Teams portion of the games, the Cavaliers will look to continue with their unique play of onside kicks, 2-point conversions, and 4th down conversions.
