George Washington WR-DB Daquan Cooper verbally commits to Temple
Temple has landed its second commitment in just five days time from Philadelphia’s George Washington High School.
Daquan Cooper, a 5’10, 165-pound wide receiver/defensive back, verbally committed to Temple Monday, according to Scout.com. Temple was Cooper’s only scholarship offer – he’d also generated interest from Big East rep Cincinnati.
Cooper joins fellow Eagle Brandon Chudnoff, who verbally committed to the Owls last Wednesday.
Cooper finished his junior season with 3 rushes for 39 yards and one touchdown, 15 receptions for 156 yards and four touchdowns and picked off a pair of passes on defense.
George Washington finished 8-3 last season, reaching the District 12 “AAAA” city championship game, falling to eventual PIAA champion LaSalle, 31-20.
