Key Stats:

2018 Offensive Outlook: Last year, under the direction of first year Head Coach Marc Persing, Lewisburg’s offensive identity changed to a smash-mouth brand of football and rushed for nearly 2,000 yards. That total was an increase of nearly 1,500 yards from the previous season.
Junior QB Nick Shedleski will be under center for the third consecutive year and the coaching staff will be looking for a break out year from him as he looks to expand on back-to-back 1,000 yard passing seasons. The backfield will be lead by sophomore work horse, Max Moyers, who ran for 1,115 yards and 12 TD’s in only 9 games. The Wide Receivers group will be led First Team All-State Athlete(and current FCS recruit) Dylan Farronato. Dylan played in 9 games last year and had 640 receiving yards and 245 rushing yards while totaling a combined 14 TD’s.
The offensive line will be massive upfront, and will be anchored by SR. 6-4 270lb Left Tackle Austin Weisser, and 6-3 265 lb Center Josh Gose. 4 of 5 starters return from a group that grew tremendously over the course of the season and will look to make its case as the strength of this team.

2018 Defensive Outlook: Upon the retirement of Carm DeFrancesco, Chad Stumohofer takes control of the defense and looks to put his stamp on a defense that improved game by game the previous year. Stumohofer will put a premium on stopping the run, and will look upon SR. LB Draven Doebler as the leader of the front 7 on defense. Defensive lineman Dakotah Snyder, Ben Sylaj, Grant Adams, Austin Weisser, Roman Aksenov and Brent Coulborn all should get plenty of playing time upfront. The back of the defense will be anchored by All-State DB Dylan Farronato while Coleman Witherite makes his anticipated return after suffering a season-ending injury at the beginning of last year.

2018 Special Teams Outlook: Lewisburg returns all 3 special teams specialists and will be looked upon to pick up where they left off last year. Ben Liscum and Jack Dieffenderfer are both sophomores and double up as members of the soccer team. Overall, this is a great group of hard working individuals.
