5) Manheim Central (3) 0-0 – If the Barons were aligned in the eastern half of the “AAA” playoff bracket, they’d probably draw an epic battle with Selinsgrove along the way. Instead, the maroon and grey field a team some in the west would be envious of. Central’s top two rushers return, as do its top three receivers and its quarterback, Justin Gorman, a potential Division-1 prospect. The offensive line averages more than 260 pounds per man. Oh, and there’s that monster two-way player named Dakota Royer, who committed to Penn State this summer. MC’s already-crammed trophy cases will need to make some more room after this ’09 season.
