Coaches Comments: Over my dozen years in high school football, Mikey is as good of an offensive player that I have coached. This much was evident when, as a Freshman, he was scoring three touchdowns a game in JV, which forced us to bring him up to Varsity pretty quickly. He has sneaky quickness and catches everything that is anywhere in his vicinity. Once the ball is in his hands, he makes something good happen.
This past year, Mikey exploded for over 40 receptions, close to 800 yards and 7 TDs. With how hard he is working this offseason, we only see those numbers going up during his Junior campaign. Mikey will be making the move from corner to free safety this year, where he should get plenty of work with his great ball-hawking skills.
