2022 Offensive Outlook: “We need to fill 2/3 spots on the offensive line this season. Cade Schultz and Ronnie Beach return as multi-year starters and will be relied on to be the leaders on the line. Luke Stevenosky comes into this 3rd year as the starting running back and will look to have his biggest season to date. A small change in offensive philosophy will allow him to find more running lanes and will help the offensive line to move and attack better. We will still be a spread offense and throw the ball around but will add a few more wrinkles this season than in years past. Ray Snyder, Logan Hutsko, Brock Polinsky, and Lorenzo Yourey all return at the wide receiver positions. Dante Carr and Lorenzo Yourey will compete for the starting QB position – both are tall, athletic, and have big arms so they will fit in perfectly with our scheme. Connor Beck, Thomas Lohin, Matt Dube, Paiten LaPoint, Jake Kavanaugh, Easton Schultz, and a variety of others will all compete for playing time at the receiver position. Aaron Laudeman and Logan Rizzardi also look to get carries in the backfield. The season will come down to getting the ball into our playmakers’ hands and letting them do what they do best. If the offensive line comes together under the leadership of Schultz and Beach this could be one of the most explosive offenses that Minersville has had.”

2022 Defensive Outlook: “With 7/8 starters returning, we have a lot of experience throughout our defense. We need to fill a few spots and sure up some things from last year. This year’s defense will be faster and more athletic than we have been in years. Brock Polinsky (All-State FS) and James Dube (LB) will both be four-year starters on the defense and will make all the calls. They are two of the most productive defensive players in Minersville history and will continue to make big plays. We will be switching up our defense to get more people in the box vs. the run-heavy teams in our league. This should allow the LBs to play faster and the secondary to lock up vs. the wide receivers. The defensive line is led by Cade Schultz (All Area DT) who forces double teams almost every game. With the help of 3-year starter Ronnie Beach, if this front can control the line of scrimmage, this defense can have a huge year.”

2022 Special Teams Outlook: “We need to find a new kicker and punter to replace All-County/State Jason Cullen.”
