Coaches comment: Nate has been a great addition to our team and community at Hill. He is a very detail-oriented player who is extremely coachable. He is stepping up to be a team leader and putting in the extra work on the field and in the weightroom. He has lowered his 40 yd time to a 4.8 and has made huge increases to his bench and squat. Nate is an every down type of player with his high football IQ and his overall physical strength. We see Nate as our Front-7 leader on the defense from his MLB position.
He will be making all of our front and stunt calls. On offense, he will play right guard where he will be a force leading our running game. His biggest skill set is his pass pro; he is a stone wall. We had a chance to get some one-on-one work against multiple teams at a team camp in July. Nate stoned his defenders at the line of scrimmage on every one of his reps.
He has really taken well to our OL coaches’ (Coach Gavin Harter) teaching and technique instruction. I see Nate being team leader for the next two seasons and an all-conference player.
