Key Stats: 2017 Graduate Mason Jones set the school record for single season passing yards and passing TD’s last season

2017 Offensive Outlook: At this time, it looks like our offense will be run by sophomore quarterback Brody McAndrew. He will be throwing to three very experienced receivers in Oleh Manzyk, Cory Joyce and Mike Garlick. Zack Canimore will also add depth at that position. There is great depth and competition at the tight end and fullback position. Junior tight end Bobby Buchys seems to be emerging as a leader of that group. Our three running backs comprised of Mike Crescenzo, Joel Stills and Savion Hebron are very talented but inexperienced. Each brings something unique to the position. I am counting on our line anchored by Figueroa and Napadano to provide a lot of leadership.

2017 Defensive Outlook: At this time, it seems that the strength of our defense will be our defensive backfield. This group is led by Senior Joel Stills. This group also features some talented but inexperienced players such as Marcus Griffin, Cannimore, Joyce, Hebron and Ryan O’Connor. Returning starters Oleh Manzyk, Mike Garlick and Paul DePompeo will anchor the linebacking crew. Manzyk is very fast and physical, and will get our defense lined up. We are looking for a good rotation at that position, getting some younger guys experience early in the year. Our defensive line has a lot of numbers but not a lot of experience. Junior Luke Hitchen started the year last year, but missed a lot due to a knee injury. We are really counting on Lou DiFrancesco to hold things down in the middle of the line.

2017 Special Teams Outlook: Matt Leonhauser will take over the kicking duties. He has been an understudy to graduate Dylan McDonald for the past two seasons.
