It’s been a fun ride for Mark Evans in 2017. His Blue Streaks snapped Wilson’s 68-game league winning streak and guided his team to the PIAA Class 6A state semifinals. They also won their first District three title.
In six seasons at Township his record is 48-24. He’s made the District three playoffs every year and first big school District three title in LL League History.
His team finished 12-2.
“I would not have been able to accomplish this without a great group of assistants, who tirelessly give to our players, and an awesome group of young men to coach,” said Evans. “They were a special group that made coaching fun. Our senior class showed tremendous leadership and if it weren’t for them we wouldn’t have had the success we did. So I am grateful for the opportunity and I SHARE it with all of my assistants and team.”
He has been coaching 20 years and his overall record is 122-95, including 14 years at ELCO, four playoff appearances and one District Final appearance in 2001.
