In 2016, Jaelen rushed for 1,605 yards on 205 carries and 19 touchdowns. The combination of Jaelen and Brady Fox led the Blue Raiders rushing attack. On the road to Hershey, Middletown had wins against Littlestown, Wyomissing, Scranton Prep and Notre Dame. They finished in second in the Class 3A state finals.
Jaelen broke the school record for rushing yards with 3,940 yards.
“Jaelen’s season and career is a results of his work ethic in the weight room during the off-season,” said Head Football Coach Brett Myers. “Jaelen, Brady and Coach Green (our RB coach) spent a lot of time working on getting better both physically and mentally. This season for Jaelen is just the pay-off for all that work that started last December.”

One response to “Class 3A Player of the Year, Jaelen Thompson, Middletown”
Watched these 2 growing up in the youth and school systems. Knew what I was seeing.
Also wish to note of a player #14 (Tre’Leach) that played Safety and Slot/HB/FB/QB. Played the safety, to me, as Palamolo or Dawkins. Fearless filling the hole, making the tackle, oftentime, last man. Offense, tough runs, great hands and caught passes when thrown to. picked up BIG 3 and 4th downs. And can throw the ball. 2pters, etc. If there is an Xfactor, unsung player, etc. Tre’ is one of them on this TEAM of statistical star. Thanks for the forum provided. Check it out u will be impressed, I’m sure.
