I’m a former HS coach and offensive coordinator in Maryland for 10 years and I saw Coatesville against S-F, LaSalle and N.A. I thought the early turnovers set the tone for the entire title game. Without them CV would have been in the game all the way. NA was very impressive and played a nearly flawless game. Their play calling and execution were outstanding all night. CV was very impressive the previous two weeks against good teams. Their play calling in those games was very good. In the title game they got so far behind early that it affected what they could run. I think if CV and NA played 10 times, NA wins 7-8 of those games.
I believe the City of Coatesville is and should be very proud of what the Red Raiders accomplished. They have done something very special this year. I’m the film guy for their team and seeing the way these guys play, yes they are very good. This team unlike most or all the teams in this state, they are a family. No matter win or loss. These guys are getting scouted almost every week by different collerge’s every week. Talent, family, red raider pride. Let’s GO!!!
Coaching, Coaching, Coaching. North Allegheny out coached the Red Raiders. The talent was there, but the coaching wasn’t. I loved the pre-game hype but was very disappointed in how the game was played. I was really looking forward for another District 1 Champion.
Well you know what they say…There’s always next year.
Coatsville is a very poorly coached team on offense. Sure they score a lot of points and have athletes but the playcalling in just terrible, very undisciplined.
Regardless of what some are posting here, apparently enjoying the opportunity to rub salt in the wounds of Coatesville fans & players this has been a magnificent sesaon for the Red Raiders & a wonderful play off run.
I cant believe these PCN announcers for this game. They are so in love with this Mack Leftwitch kid. Hes a coaches son, hes a student of the game, they way they talk this kid is supper boy and cant do anything wrong they make me sick They are for NA.
N Allegheny crushing Coatesville so far. As an independent fan at the Coatesville vs. LaSalle Semi-Final, I saw a lot of the Coatesville fans and players embarass themselves post-victory. How’s it feel to be on the other end? I hope N Allegheny shows the class it has earned, and Coatesville understands how acting like a 2-year old (in victory, nonetheless) is just plain pathetic.
This is the “greatest show on turf”?? Not trying to be negative, but CV is very undisciplined. Turnovers, Missed assignments, sloppy tackling, sloppy blocking, etc. 35-7 already. Yikes!!! I’m disappointed. I was really hoping for a D1 state champion.
Is the same guy calling the plays for Coatesville that called them for Wood? They can’t stop us up the gut, let’s roll out the QB and see what happens. What is wrong with these coaches?
