The Northeast Pa Football (NPF) Network will broadcast the 78th Annual Dream Game on August 1 at 7:30 p.m. from Scranton Memorial Stadium. The audio stream will be available at NortheastPaFootball.com free of charge, and for the first time, the game will be available on Smart Phones and Tablets using the free Tunein Radio app. Listeners on Tunein can find the broadcast on Red Zone Media Channel 16. There will also be a Live Chat on the website which will feature game analysis and guests. This is the second year that the game will be broadcast exclusively on the NPF Network.
The Dream Game is a major part of the history of high school football in Northeast Pa. The game is sponsored by the Lions Club of Scranton and the proceeds support the programs of the Lackawanna County Branch of the Pennsylvania Association of the Blind.
“We had high school football fans from all over the world listen last year,” said Chris Kucharski, owner of the NPF Network. “We are excited to bring an even more interactive experience to the fans who will listen in 2012. The Dream Game has a legacy that deserves first class treatment so we will present a first class broadcast to the fans
Veteran broadcasters Bob Ide, Rick Notari, Dean Corwin, Chris Summa and Scott Mackinder will be involved in the broadcast which will include pre-game and post game shows.
The game sees graduated seniors from the Lackawanna Football Conference separated into the City all-stars and County all-stars. Last year, the City won 19-7.
For 2012, Delaware Valley head coach Keith Olsommer will coach the City while Mid Valley head coach Frank Pazzaglia will coach the County. For Olsommer, it his second time as head coach in a Dream Game and for Pazzaglia, it will be his sixth.
