2023 Returning Player Stats:
Ben Primich was a 1st team All-SOLN defensive lineman.
Nathan Beighley won honorable mention SOLN recognition.
2023 Offensive Outlook: We lost four offensive linemen, our starting QB, and a runner who rushed for over 2,000 yards in 2022 (G. Mulbah), on an offense that averaged slightly over 30 points a game. We have only 3 seniors projected to be a part of our starting offense when we open the 2023 season. We will look to Nathan Beighley to play a key role in the success of our offense in 2023, taking over Shane McGurrin’s spot as our starting QB.
2023 Defensive Outlook: Defensively we return five full-time starters in Beighley, David, Karamis, Primich, and Murray along with one part-time starter from 2022 in Noah Rice. Aidan Parker, a starter last season at SE, will also be making the move over to defense this year to play FS for us. The defense will have to be the strength of our team early on as our offense looks to gain continuity as the season progresses.
2023 Special Teams Outlook: We will have to replace a 1st team SOLN punter in McGurrin, a 2nd team Kicker in Dan Zelenko, and a very good long snapper in Frascella.
