Here is a compilation of 1,000-yard backfield rushing duos, since 2006. There have been 65 backfields with a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in that span. Impressive? Sure. Nearly a third of the backfields on this list occured in 2008 – when there were 16 duos and one trio of 1,000-yard rushers in the state.
Of the 65 such duos listed, nine reached the PIAA finals and four won titles. There have been three 1,000-yard rushing trios since 2006 – two reached the PIAA finals, and lost. The PIAA finals has featured at least one pair of 1,000-yard rushers each year since a2003, and at least one PIAA champion had a pair of 1,000-yard rushers in a span from 2003 until 2008.

Not sure of the exact yardage, but you can add Harry S Truman High School to the list this year. QB Derron Thompson and FB Larry Winton both have rushed for 1,000 yards.
Deitz:
I know Montoursville Area had a 1,000-yard trio back in 2005 (and thank you for mentioning it)…..but unfortunately, I don’t have complete research compiled of all the 1,000-yard backfield duos (or othero possible trios) from 2005 back to 2000. So those years did not get published in this entry, as I do not wish to publish incomplete information.

Josh, You should have gone back one year prior.
In 2005 Montoursville had 3 backs with 1000yds +
I’m not sure if it has been done before, but Lewisburg may do it?…..depending on how far they go in the playoffs.
Thanks Josh,
