Offensive Player of the Week

-Zaire Hart-Hawkins – West Catholic – QB – Senior

Hart-Hawkins passed 13-for-20 for 257 and three touchdowns (61, 16, & 32 yards) yards in the Burrs’ road victory (28-to-21) over Lansdale Catholic. Hart-Hawkins also chipped in with 57 yards on the ground on 9 carries. Hart-Hawkins’ output in this game pushed him over 3,000 yards passing as a Burr (3,184) and a career total of 3,463 (279 yards at Neumann-Goretti as a freshman). The senior signal-caller broke the record for most completions (219) and attempts (427) for a West quarterback.

Defensive Player of the Week

-Warren Zaid – Neumann-Goretti – LB – Sophomore

The active and athletic Zaid hustled his way to 15 tackles (7 solos) in the Saints’ 18-7 win at Conwell-Egan. His most crucial play came in the second quarter and with the Eagles threatening inside N-G’s 5-yard line. Zaid met an Eagles’ rusher in the hole and forced and recovered a fumble to squelch the scoring threat.

Special Teams Player of the Week

-Nick Lamey – Archbishop Carroll – P – Junior

Lamey punted five times for an average 36.2 yards in the Patriots 26-7 win over Cardinal O’Hara. Lamey was extremely important early as the Carroll offense struggled to get on track. Twice he placed punts inside the Lions’ 20-yard line, including one that settled at the three-yard line. Also, punting from own end zone he uncorked his best punt of 50 yards that helped his team preserve an early lead.
