Offensive Player of the Week:

-Semaj Beals (Roman – Jr. – QB): After a dynamite sophomore campaign Beals wasted little time picking-up where he left off. The smooth-slinging Cahillite quarterback toasted the Saints defense to the tone of 296 yards and 4 touchdowns with a 21-of-29 showing. This output allowed him to become Roman’s all-time passing leader (Michael Keir ’12, 4,744 yards) and surpass the 5,000-yard barrier (5,018) after only his first game as a junior. The all-time PCL and City marks aren’t that far in the distance. Stay tuned!

Offensive Honor Roll:

-Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – Jr. – QB): The Rutgers commit was dynamite in the Explorers’ pasting of Harrisburg. Sidwar finished 21-for-28, with 271 yards and 5 TDs.

-Joey O’Brien (LaSalle – Jr. – WR): A talented two-way stalwart, O’Brien really turned some heads with 9 catches and 147 yards (2 TDs) in LaSalle’s 45-7 drubbing of Harrisburg.

Frankie Mawson (Ryan – Sr. – QB): Mawson accumulated 185 yards of offense (9-of-17, 131 yards passing) and three total touchdowns in Ryan’s spirited, 21-17, victory over rival Judge.

-Damien Morgan (Ryan – Sr. – WR): The playmaking Morgan snagged 5 passes for 77 yards and a pair of critical scores for the Raiders.

-Yeboa Cobbold (Lansdale – Jr. – QB): The Crusaders dynamic playmaker amassed 208 yards offense (12-for-16, 166 passing) and two touchdowns in a 32-0 win over School of the Future.

-Tre Montgomery (Carroll – Frosh. – RB): Quite the debut for Montgomery as he rolled to 137 yards and a rushing TD on just 12 carries for the Patriots.

 Defensive Player of the Week:

-Dylan Clair (LaSalle – Sr. – LB): The ever-steady Clair spearheaded an Explorers’ defense in their resounding win over state power Harrisburg. Clair was active with 10 solo tackles, including a pair of sacks that went for 32 yards in losses.

Defensive Honor Roll:

-JoJo Deleece (Roman – Soph. – S): Displaying a tremendous blend of instincts and athleticism, Deleece was everywhere for the Cahillites this past weekend. He finished with 8 total tackles, including 1.5 sacks and two other TFLs. The losses netted 36 yards and was a prime reason why the Saints only managed minus-32 yards rushing. For good measure, Deleece also contributed two pass defends.

Special Teams Player of the Week:

-Eli Pollack (Roman – Soph. – K): Pollack was 5-for-5 on PATs and nailed a 34-yard field goal in Roman’s, 45-12, win over Neumann-Goretti.

Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:

-Aaron Barnes (Carroll – Sr. – RB/KR): Barnes contributed 104 yards rushing on 10 carries and sped 71 yards for a score to open the second half for the Patriots in their, 25-8, triumph over William Tennant. He also added another 51 yards on a pair of return.

Spectacular in Defeat:

-John Brown (O’Hara – Sr. – LB): In the Lions home lose to neighborhood rival Springfield, Brown was everywhere defensively. In the game, he totaled 14 tackles (9 solos) and two TFLs. The rugged Lions’ backer looks primed to have a solid campaign direction his team’s defense.
