Offensive Player of the Week:
-Rayshawn Scott (Roman – Sr. – WR): Scott turned his 11 touches in the game into 224 yards of receiving/rushing. Most of his damage was via the pass where he made 6 grabs for 187 yards; including a 55-yard TD in the Cahillites, 52-34, win over O’Hara.
Offensive Honor Roll:
-Christon Mitchell-Brown (Arch. Ryan – Sr. – RB): CMB was effective yet again in Ryan’s win over Lansdale Catholic. He finished with 117 yards on 21 carries and a pair of scores.
-Semaj Beals (Roman – Jr. – QB): Tossed four touchdown passes and added a fifth score on a rush. Finished with 310 yards through the air.
-Karon Shedrick (Wood – Sr. – QB): Making his first start at quarterback this season; Shedrick flashed with 138 yards rushing on just nine carries. Three times he found the end zone in Wood’s convincing win over West Catholic.
-Yasin Lowry (Wood – Sr. – RB): The bruising Viking running back hammered the Burrs for 145 yards on 21 totes and two scores.
-Mick Johnson (Bonner-Pren. – Sr. RB): Johnson made the most of his 6 carries with four scores and 126 yards on the ground.
-Jeremiah Coleman (Bonner-Pren. – Sr. – WR): Coleman displayed big-play ability with 4 catches and 123 yards in the Friars comfortable win over Father Judge.
-Gavin Sidwar (LaSalle – Jr. – QB): Sidwar helped the Explorers outlast rival St. Joe’s Prep, 35-34, in four overtimes. He finished 27-for-48, with 266 yards and 4 scores.
Defensive Player of the Week:
-CJ Amobi (Bonner-Pren. – Sr. – DE): Amobi seemingly took up residence in the Judge backfield, as witnessed by his 2.5 sacks and 4 other TFLs amongst his 9 total stops. His tackles for losses amounted to 35 yards.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-Austin Lyons (Arch. Ryan – Jr. – OLB): Lyons made 9 tackles; including 8 solos and one TFL in the Raiders important win over LC.
-Lazyaryus Toombs (Roman – Sr. – DE): Toombs was impactful throughout and finished with ten total tackles, two forced fumbles, and a fumble return that traveled 42 yards.
-Christian Palmer (Roman – Jr. – DB): Palmer registered a sack amongst his three tackles, forced a fumble, and also made a pair on interceptions. One of his picks went for a 48-yard touchdown.
-Matt McGaughey (Carroll – Sr. – DE): McGaughey totaled 5 tackles; including a pair of sacks and one other TFL in Carroll’s exciting overtime win over Neumann-Goretti.
-Dylan Clair (LaSalle – Sr. – LB): The rugged and heady Clair finished with a game-high 11 tackles (7 solos) in LaSalle’s monster win over St. Joe’s Prep.
-Justin Hawkins (LaSalle – Sr. – DB): Hawkins was involved all evening for the Explorers and ended with 7 tackles, three pass defends, and an interception.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
-Alex Raker (Carroll – Sr. – K): Raker was reliable and precise in the Patriots’ road win over N-G. He nailed all four of his PATs and added a 32-yard field goal. His last PAT gave the Pats the win in overtime, 31-30.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-Aaron Barnes (Carroll – Sr. – RB/KR): The speedy Barnes torched the Saints’ defense to the tone of 192 yards on 17 carries. Three times he found the end zone. In the return game he scooted for 82 yards on 3 returns.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Kyreese Bradley (Neum.-Gor. – Sr. – RB/LB): Bradley rumbled for 120 yards and a score on just 11 carries. He scored a touchdown and added a two-point conversion run. On defense, he contributed 6 tackles.
