Philadelphia Catholic League Players of the Week Week of October 25th, 2021

Offensive Player of the Week

Sam Brown – LaSalle College HS – Sr. RB

Brown needed just six carries to accumulate 170 rushing yards in LaSalle’s resounding, 52-14, victory versus Father Judge.  His final three carries all found the end zone and covered 25, 75, and 49 yards. For good measure, Brown added three receptions for 29 yards.

Defensive Player of the Week

Isiah Franklin – West Catholic – Sr. – DL

Franklin was a disruptive force along the line of scrimmage for the Burrs in their 22-6 win over Carroll. His play helped the Burrs limit the Patriots to just 73 yards of offense and only 17 yards rushing. Franklin registered 1.5 sacks and another TFL amongst his five stops. He also recovered a pair of fumbles; returning the latter 20 yards for a fourth-quarter touchdown and some much-needed breathing room on the scoreboard.

Special Teams Player of the Week

Stevie Davis – LaSalle College HS – Soph. – KR/RB

The Explorers intriguing youngster once again made a contribution to another LaSalle victory. This time he took a kickoff 83 yards for a touchdown in LaSalle’s, 52-14, triumph over Father Judge. Later in the game, he added a 29-yard touchdown reception.
