Offensive Player of the Week:
-Tyler Yerkov – Judge – QB – Sr.
– Yerkov tossed four scoring strikes and 259 yards in the Crusaders, 35-13, victory over William Tennant. Connecting on 16 of-23 passes, Yerkov’s TD passes went for 43, 19, 10, and 23 yards, respectively. In his last two games, Yerkov has thrown for 507 yards and 7 touchdowns.
Offensive Honor Roll:
-Terrence Page – Neum.-Gor. – Soph. – RB: Help pace the Saints with 86 yards rushing on just 6 carries. One of his two scores went for 64 yards.
-Gavin Hutz – Judge – Soph. WR: Made three catches for 97 yards; with two touchdowns covering 41 & 19 yards.
-Dazshaun Hopkins – Roman- Sr. – RB: Rushed for 178 yards 20 carries; including a 46-yard TD. Added a pair of catches for ten yards.
-Frankie Mawson – Ryan – Jr. – QB: Completed 12-of-15 passes for 148 yards and three touchdowns.
-Xavier Kincade – Roman – Jr. – RB: Rushed for 99 yards on 13 totes and a touchdown.
Defensive Player of the Week:
-Malachi Williams – Bonner-Pren. – Sr. – DE
-The rangy and athletic Williams registered nine total tackles in the Friars hard-fought, 13-7, win over neighborhood rival Cardinal O’Hara. Amongst the stops were a pair of sacks and two other TFLs. Williams also recovered a fumble to help secure the win.
Defensive Honor Roll:
-Tim Gipli – Con.-Egan – Sr. – DB: Made a key interception and returned it 27 yards for a score to aid in the Eagles’ win.
-C’Andre Hopper – Neum.-Gor. – Sr. – DB: Took an interception 60 yards to the house in the Saints pasting of West Catholic.
-Jalil Hall – Bonner-Pren. – Jr. – DE: Hustled for 9 tackles; including a sack and two other TFLs.
-Austin Lyons – Ryan – Soph. – LB: Paced the Raiders with ten tackles (9 solos) and a forced fumble.
-Nick Rogers – Ryan – Sr. – DE: Registered 6 tackles; including a sack and three other TFLs that accumulated 22 yards in losses.
-Bobby Lombardo – Lansdale Cath. – Sr. – LB: Was in on 17 tackles in his team’s loss to Conwell-Egan.
-Chris Ulmer – Lansdale Cath. – Jr. – LB: Was nearly as active as Lombardo with 14 tackles of his own.
Special Teams Player of the Week:
– Johnny Austerberry – Con.-Egan – Jr. – K/P
-Austerberry was sound throughout in the Eagles’ 25-19 win over Lansdale Catholic. He converted both point-after attempts and added a 23-yard field goal. As the punter he booted four times for a 39.3 average and a long of 52 yards.
Special Team Honor Roll:
-Tayden Mines – Roman – Jr. – KR: Mines provided an exciting 68-yard punt return for a score in the Cahillites’ victory over Cheltenham.
Multi-Purpose Player of the Week:
-Eric Smith – Judge – Sr. – RB/WR/LB
–Smith was instrumental throughout the Crusaders’ 35-13 win over William Tennant. Offensively, he provided 31 yards rushing and 79 yards receiving on 6 catches. On special teams he added 37 yards on two returns. Defensively, he paced Judge’s defensive unit with 9 tackles and a pass defend.
Spectacular in Defeat:
-Jacahi Streeter – Lansdale Cath. – Jr. – RB/LB
-Streeter was zipping all over the field in LC’s, 25-19, defeat at the hands of Conwell-Egan. From his tailback position he zoomed to 165 yards on 13 carries; including scoring runs of 44 and 33 yards. Defensively, he added five solo tackles for the Crusaders.
