Things are heating up halfway through the season, as Delaware Valley proves its supremacy over Scranton Prep, 31-27
At Dunmore up against the 4th and long and one yard to go at his team’s 19-yard line also protecting a four-point lead in the final two minutes of play, Delaware Valley coach Keith Olsommer heard what his players were saying. Tight end Aidon Black Fullback Justin Kalitsnik and running back Rydor Machado
All seniors and all-region players to coach they wanted to go for it!
Logan Olsommer handed the ball to Machado, who followed a block from Black and a kick-out block from Kalitsnik and with a Barry Sanders spin made it the yardage his team needed the first down and to seal the deal.
The Lions from Lackawanna Trail were on the prowl for some Bucks. Steven Jervis faked the handoff, concealed the ball, and then launched a deep pass to Lucas Gumbel on Trail’s first play of the game. Lackawanna Trail never looked back. The fourth-ranked Lions ran outside, pounded the ball inside, and hit big plays through the air and in a convincing manner !!
