RECAP: Lackawanna Football Conference (Nov. 02-04)

Lackawanna Trail and Delaware Valley are the Premier teams in D-2 as the rest follow their lead.

Lackawanna Trail won their 12th District 2 Class A championship and 13th all-time.

On Friday night. The Lions will advance to face Morrisville, which won the District 1 Class A title with a win over Jenkintown as the PIAA playoffs move to the sub-regional final.

This senior class at Lackawanna Trail has a record of 27-9 in the last three seasons.

Delaware Valley Rolls past Pittston Area

Ryder Machado and Delaware Valley made quick work of the Pittston Area.
The standout senior running back scored three touchdowns in the opening 6 minutes Friday night and the Warriors rolled to a convincing 42-7 in a convincing victory over the Patriots and the district to the Class 5A semi-final at Warrior Stadium.

Valley View tops Berwick 12-7

Two of the most championship-storied programs in District 2 over the course of history met up on Friday night the Cougars took the win over the Dawgs.

Tyler Scoblick knew a pass was coming after five straight runs to the same side. So with Berwick driving toward the Red Zone and his team season on the line, the Valley View Junior faked a run Pursuit and jumped a pass route. His intuition sent the second-seated Cougars to the next round of the District 2 Class 4A playoffs.
