In terms of the District 4 football landscape, Selinsgrove, Mount Carmel and Southern Columbia, among others, have become household names over the years. If the last two seasons are any type of trend, Lewisburg may be on the same path. Mired in mediocrity for a number of years, the Green Dragons had not hoisted any District 4 championship trophies in program history. Tilford, in just four seasons, took the Green Dragons from a sub-.500 record to the PIAA AA semifinals, falling to West Catholic, 21-7. Lewisburg claimed its first District 4 AA championship trophy and its first PIAA playoff win. In the last two seasons, Lewisburg has posted an impressive overall record of 24-4 and reached the District 4 AA finals each of the last two years. Tilford’s Green Dragons played played five playoff opponents that featured a combined 2010 season record of 57-9, going 4-1 in those games.
