The 2010 could easily be described by some as the “Year of the Quarterback.” The Keystone State featured many impressive performances by field generals all across the Commonwealth, and Talerico was no exception. He finished his season with 1,994 yards passing and 30 touchdowns and added 1,046 rushing yards and 18 additional touchdowns on the ground. Talerico directed a Riverside offense that averaged more than 300 yards and 36.3 points per game.
Talerico finished the 2010 season with the second-highest passing yardage total among Class A quarterbacks (trailed only Pius X freshman A.J. Long) and was one of 10 quarterbacks to both pass and rush for more than 1,000 yards each in 2010. The Vikings won their fifth District 2 Class A championship and reached the PIAA finals for the first time since 1997.
