The last time the Shamrocks saw a gridiron in 2011, Lancaster Catholic was running roughshod up and down and all around it en route to a 60-7 victory and one of the worst losses in Trinity program history.

But the times, they are a-changin’, and with the Crusaders in AAA and another perennial AA contender, Delone Catholic, dropping to Class A, Trinity finds itself on the short list of District 3 AA championship contenders.

Gone is career 4,000-yard passer Patrick Dill, but offense shouldn’t be a problem for Bill Ragni Jr.’s contingent. Adam Geiger (1,112 rush yds, 23 total TDs scored) is back, as is junior QB Mike Boguski (491 pass yards, 6 TD) and experienced receivers in Danny Jackson (39 rec., 812 yds, 9 TD) and Ryan Herr (14-261-3). Geiger and Dylan DeFrank will be forces defensively and Alex Cramer is back to handle the kicking chores.
