May recruiting is just a couple of months away, but Wilson Area quarterback Tyler Smith has one new offer and a Florida school showing interested in him, according to Rivals.com.
Smith, a dual-threat quarterback for the Warriors, has an offer from Syracuse in addition to offers from UCONN and Pitt. The other new school showing interest is Florida State. The Seminoles compete in the Atlantic Coast Conference, and once played in three consecutive BCS championship games.
Florida State isn’t just showing interest in the Wilson field general. The Seminoles have three other Keystone State quarterbacks on their radar in the Class of 2010: Lancaster Catholic’s Tyler Smith, Philadelphia Northeast’s Malik Stokes, and Liberty’s Anthony Gonzalez.
Smith threw for 2,952 yards and 35 touchdowns last year. He also finished second on the team in rushing yardage.
Wilson is 47-8 since the start of 2005, including a 19-5 mark in the past two seasons.
