The best QB/receiver combo of all-time

In District 11 it can be said that Brendan Nosovitch to Kevin Gulyas is one of the greatest combos Pennsylvannia has ever seen. Nosovitch has thrown for 8,173 yards in his career and most of that has gone to Gulyas who has 3,714 yards receiving.

Who do you think are the best QB/receiver combos in Pennsylvania history?

  1. Matt Magarity – Colin Buckley LaSalle
    Drew Loughery- Sam Feleccia LaSalle
Corey Ernst- Dan Gevirtz North Penn.

  2. tonights performance was unreal gulyas has the ability to break anyones ankles and is a reason why he has some many yards after the catch, noone can stop him up top hes always wide open and nosovitch seems to hit him in stride 90% of the time its a shame central doesnt have a better defense they could easily repeat if they had last years defense because that offensive duo is unreal

  3. Nosovitch 22-34 for 496 yards and 8 Touchdown passes. Gulyas 9 catches for 225 yards and 5 touchdowns. AMAZING!!!! Like I mentioned the other day the greatest combo EVER! BAR NONE!!!

  4. I think that performance tonight by Nosovitch/Gulyas should leave no doubt about who the greatest combo ever is. Unreal.

  5. Without a doubt I’ve seen these guys for the last 3 years. It’s Nosovitch and Gulyas. I don’t think I will ever see anything like this again in my lifetime. These guys have been a pleasure to watch.

  6. I’d have to go with Kelchner-Evina. No only was that 1988 team PIAA Class AAA state champs but they were also #3 in the entire nation with Kelchner and Evina leading the way.

By the way David excellent topic.

  7. Kelchner to Evina. From 1986 thru 1988 these two produced some very exciting times for Berwick. Kelchner threw for a mere 3000 yards during this stint, finding Evina for over 2200 of those yards. Definitely one of the most feared combinations in Pa high school history

  8. From recent memory:

Matt McGugh-Paul Skulski (Garnet Valley, 2006)
    Matt Atkinson-Matt Bundy (Penncrest, 2008-2009)

  9. Just to put things in perspective, Ben Mauk of Kenton HS in Ohio in 2002 threw for 17,364 career yards. He went on to play University of Cincinnati. Now that is some passing career.

  10. The numbers reflect this fact. The state championship in 2010 also is reflective of the special performance of this duo. It could be a long time before any tandem challenges the Nosovitch to Gulyas records. And they are not done yet!

  11. without a doubt it has to be Nosovitch and Gulyas. i watched two years ago as SR. Wilson QB Tyler Smith, who held the record before nosovitch, was shown up by soph. nosovitch and gulyas. these guys have been amazing and electrify any field that they step foot on. to me its a given, give it to Nosvitch and gulyas
