According to Athletic Director Joseph Vogler, Tim Murphy was approved as Head Football Coach at Tuesday night’s Board meeting.
“Tim has been a longtime assistant at Unionville, most recently serving as Offensive Coordinator,” said Vogler.
Murphy answered a few questions.
What is your coaching background?
“I have been a coach at Unionville for 14 years. I have served as a position coach for the Wide Receivers, Defensive Backs, and Quarterbacks, and been Special Teams Coordinator. For the past eight seasons, I have been the Offensive Coordinator.”
Do you teach and if so, what subject do you teach?
“I am a 9th and 10th-grade History teacher.”
What is your goal for this team?
“My goal is to compete for a league championship every year and go after a District 1 championship while also trying to develop our players into leaders on and off the field”
What are your thoughts about the league you will be playing in?
“Our league has become more and more competitive every year. We have become stronger from top to bottom. Our goal is to still be one of the top teams in our league.”
