Highlights of 2024:
The program took large steps in the right direction in 2024. A winning record and a playoff birth for the first time in seven years was something we set our mind on in the 2024 offseason. Starting the season 3-0 was a great way to start and got the town buzzing. We need to avoid that mid season lull this upcoming year and control our own destiny in order to earn what we plan to accomplish.

There are alot of positives to pull from last year’s season with a large part of it due to offseason buy in and upper class leadership. An explosive run game gave our team the ability to control the clock. Big plays on Defense and special teams were ultimately our downfall at times in close games. Sealing a playoff birth at home last year for the last game in Keeny Stadium was special along with sending our devoted seniors out the right way.

Regardless, a vast improvement from past seasons were made and alot of pride around the program has grown.

Looking ahead to 2025:
This upcoming season is no different from the last as far as opponents go. Our expectations however and our ability to sustain control of games we should win are going to be the main focus. We have a number of returning starters at a multitude of positions with only losing 3 starters on Defense. Offensively, we have alot of returning starters as well at all 11 spots woth depth in every area. Being versatile and getting to increase our ability to rotate and adapt week to week will be crucial. We are losing a long time starting center in Jon Strohl, a reliable and dynamic RB in Zach Schwartz and a sure handed Aiden Void. There are alot of both veteran and young names that will be expected to take the reigns and continue to grow our football program.

The expectation should not change and if we want more than our 4 home.games we are guaranteed this year, we are going to have to go earn a home playoff game. All of the current work we.are and will put in this offseason will be key in competing at a high level and growing from where we left off in early November. It’s the work nobody sees that is the most important. Our motto has been WE/ME and putting the success of.our team, town and school above personal desires. This needs to be more than a saying on a shirt and something we practice day in and day out. We are excited for the 2025 season and know we have a special group of returning starters that are eager to suit up again in August.
