Chris Salvi, who describes himself as a “Zero-Star Recruit” walked-on at Notre Dame and became a special cog on the team’s special teams. Salvi’s impact led Fighting Irish head coach Brian Kelly to give him a scholarship for his senior season. Salvi talks with Fisher about his time at Notre Dame and playing professional football in Italy. Salvi plays for the Torino Jaguars in the Italian Football League.
Fisher then talks with Brennan Marion, who at 26-years old is the new head football coach at Waynesboro High School in Pennsylvania. Marion fought the mean streets of western Pennsylvania before heading west to play junior college ball in California where at one point he was homeless. Eventually, Brennan got a scholarship to the University of Tulsa where he set an NCAA record for yards per catch. Brennan’s grandmother made him promise her before her death that he would make something of himself. He’s done that and more by getting his college degree; playing in professional football; and now giving back as a high school football coach.
