The votes are in and we picked our Week four Offensive Player of the Week, Quarterback Travis Stefanik of Nazareth Area.
So far in 2015, Travis has passed for 1,228 yards on 84 of 127 passes and 14 touchdowns. He has rushed for 409 yards on 77 carries and five touchdowns.
“Travis has emerged as a team leader and stepped up in a big way this year,” said Head Football Coach Tom Falzone. “He is doing a nice job distributing the ball to all of our skilled players and has shown that he can make plays with his feet as well.”
The 6-foot, 175-pound Stefanik had a game of the ages for the Blue Eagles. He rushed for 202 yards and a pair of touchdowns to go with 237 yards passing and five touchdowns (no interceptions) in a win against Emmaus, 49-36.
In the game, eight of the 18 runs went for over 10 yards or more.
“I am very proud of his efforts this season and hope that we can continue to be competitive for the second half of the year.”
That is why we named him our Week Four Offensive Player of the Week. Congrats, Travis!
