PHILADELPHIA – Last December it looked like West Catholic’s final game in their school history would end with a loss against eventual state champs Lancaster Catholic, 23-20.
West Catholic was among three other high schools to close, but in late February all four schools were saved from closure.
After the roller coaster ride the last few months the 6-foot-2, 195-pound junior running back who has over 20 Division one offers has transferred to Imhotep Charter of the Philadelphia Public League.
Williams rushed for 1,936 yards and 18 touchdowns last season. Williams is ranked the top returning running back in Pennsylvania.
Williams will be reunited with and play for new head football coach Albie Crosby who was a West Catholic assistant for 11 seasons.
