West York Area had plenty of reasons to celebrate last season.  Now, one of the Bulldogs’ top returning players is the recipient of some notable Division-1 attention.

Corey Harris, a running back/defensive back, has interest from seven Division-1 programs, according to Rivals.com.  Among the interested schools are Louisville, Michigan State, Ohio State, and Pitt.

Harris filled in as the West York feature tailback after the loss of Brandon Real in the District 3 playoffs.  Harris accumulated nearly 500 rushing yards – 91 of those yards came in the District 3 championship game against Manheim Central.

Defensively, Harris recorded 48 tackles (37 solo) and picked off six passes.

Harris was part of a Bulldog team that set the York County record for most points scored in a single season.  West York, which has gone 30-8 in the last three years, won its third District 3 championship in school history, and made an appearance in its first PIAA semifinal since 1991.
