I agree, Pyle is the real deal but Bennett is a key to their triple threat (Pyle, Keyser, Bennett)
@ D1Football Fan. While Plye had a good game 33 carries 156 yards 3td, what about Jordyn Bennett 10 carries 192 yards 3 td’s. Kind of hard to not acknowledge those stats. Bennett had less carries and more yards.
NP over Neshaminy. Now I know most everybody thought NP would win, but I wasn’t sure. That’s the best defense I’ve seen NP play this year. They held a 1200 yard rusher to 39 yards. NP has gone about as far as I thought they would this year. If they can pull it out this week, then they gone farther then I thought. Man, I sure hope they keep surprising me!!!!!!!!!!
I went to the CB South-Garnet Valley game. The emotion swings on both sides of the stadium was intense. Unfortunately, some has the lose. My standouts for week 12 are Dan Brown of CB South and Justin Pyle of Garnet Valley. Pyle rushed for 156 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries. Dan Brown, on the other hand, he ran for 250 yards, scored six touchdowns (for the second time in a game this season), and also had two circus catches for 48 yards.
If Jordan Gray is age 16, he might be Danny Almonte’s cousin. Rememebr the jerk who screwed a whole lot of kids out of playing LL Baseball at the region level. 16 is the age of the junior class during this year, some may be turning 17 now (early birthday).
The Eastern Conference Division 2 championship game was a joke. I play for Tamaqua, and I hate to sound like a sore loser, but I was disgusted with the officiating and facilities at North Penn Blossburg. The away locker room that we put our bags in was on the other side of town at the school, and the halftime locker room was a garage/barn with a whiteboard, no bench, gardening tools, no bathroom, and our starters sat on lawnmowers and crates while the other players sat on the floor. There was no bathroom so we used the woods outside. Anyways, we lost the game in overtime and on the completion, the corner in coverage was literally shoved, no exaggeration, to the ground and he turned around, caught the pass and won the game with no flag.
just turned 16 i believe, he is a year behind, pretty sure he should be a sophomore, something with grades/moving
congrats to mahanoy area on winning the class a eastern conference championship great job coach hall to get those kids winning again 2 in a row lets hope soon a district title.
Well, if he’s 16 he may not get to play as a HS senior depending on when his birthday falls. If that’s the case maybe we’ll see him then at a prep school like Wyoming Seminary, Blair Academy, Hill School or Valley Forge?
Is there any truth to it that gray is actually 16 or older.It still doesn’t take away from his stats , but it should take away from this whole he’s a freshman thing.
*Jordan Gray* not Dray.
Darn fat fingers.
@anthony
Any truth to the rumor that Jordan Dray is actually 16 or 17 years old as a freshman? I’ve heard this from several people, including 1 from Nazareth.
Jordyn Bennett for Garnet Valley had 10 carries for 192 yards and 3 td’s. Continues to come up with big runs from the slotback position.
@ staff;
Can you post the day & time of the D1 playoff games?
Jordan Grey.
No contest.
After Nazareth gave up the opening kickoff for a TD they made adjustments and showed that Parkland is one dimensionl, i.e. running the ball. Jordan as a freshman is just phenominal in how he reads the play.
@ Neshaminy fans:
If it’s any consolation, probably not, but what you have had with us the last 4 games we got goin’ with LaSalle the last 3 games. It’s tough, I know. Can’t get that monkey off our backs. NP fan
P.S. Even though we might lose again, we all really want a re-match with LaSalle. Of couse that’s too far ahead. We got to try & figure out Pennsbury first.
Garnet Valley-Central Bucks South Game was absolutely crazy!!
flippinphil, don’t follow those teams but, I see so much hs football playing zone and either being beat or passes being thrown where the dbacks can only get to the play after the catch is made. It is the most frustrating thing in the world.
what stood out to me was the Pottsville’s coach thought it was a good idea to suspend 4 starters in last nights game from playing because they disagreed with him on changing the play scheme for the game. btw it was a total failure. playing zone on a passing team only ensures plenty of wide open first down plays.
SCA QB Brad Fegley threw for 130 yards and 2 TDs (extended his non-interception season to 12 games) & he rushed for 40 yards and had a rushing TD…FB Tyler Levan rushed for 165 and added a 46 yard TD run…Tigers defense held LM to 200 yards of total offense and 6 points (last TD came against JVs)
I’d have to say SCA’s defense limiting the potent Line Mt. offense to 213 yds, which 75yd came on a benisky td run against sca’s backups with about 3 mins to go. Guess LM wanted their senior QB to go out with a bang, something to tell his grandkids. So, SCA held Line Mt.s offense to less than 200 total yards.
Dist 2 AA GAR’s Darrell Crawford with 209 yds rushing and 2 TDs AND 8-10 passing for 95 yds and 2 TD passes.
And, Dist 2 AA Wyoming Area’s Nick O’Brien with 319 yds rushing and 3 TDs.
Also, Dist 2 AA Berwick’s Jeremy Freeman with 211 yds rushing and 3 TDs.
Also, Dist 11 AAAA Nazareth’s Jordan Gray (Freshman) with 229 yds rushing and 5 TDs.
Finally, Tory Hudgins of Dist 1 AAA Pottsgrove with 156 yds on 19 carries and 3 TDs.
Lampeter Strasburg pitches another shutout 35-0 over Shippensburg. 5th shutout of the year!
Garnet Valley Senior WR AJ DiPeitro game winning touchdown catch against Central Bucks South with 16 seconds left in the game. Final Score: Garnet Valley 52, CB South 48. # 5 Garnet Valley @ # 1 Council Rock South next week.
