m.classSenior running back Mike Class set another school record two weeks ago against Bensalem. In that game, Class finished the game rushing for 57-yards rushing, breaking the school’s career all-time rushing record. Ryan Greiser held the previous record with 4,046 yards.

“I coached both players. On offense there isn’t too much difference between both players. Both are very determined runners. They are very similar players and both are outstanding young men. They are team players first and their teammates respect them and coaches respect them. It would be pretty cool to have them both in the same backfield”, said head football coach Jeff Hollenbach.

After this past weekend’s performance of 124-yards rushing on four carries and three touchdowns (All in the first half), he now has 4,230 yards rushing in his career on 567 carries. He is averaging 7.5 yards per carry. “We honored him at home before the game last Friday night. His parents were there and Ryan was there.”

Last year Mike set the single-season record in 13 games. Class rushed for 2,417 yards on 293 carries and 32 touchdowns. He caught 11 passes for 107 yards and two touchdowns. He led his team with 214 points.

Class holds the school’s single-season rushing record with 2,417 yards, breaking a mark set by Ryan Greiser in 2004. Greiser rushed for 2,030 yards.

“Mike is a tough runner. He runs over people at times and he runs through people at times. He’s a physical runner and blocks well.”
